Roaster's Notes
We put together a bright fruity blend, a tip of the hat to the lengthening days in the future, but we took the roast a little darker than most of our coffees. The result: a cozy yet vibrant cup equally suited to solitary nesting and holiday festivities. The Winter Solstice is a study in contrasts. It's the darkest time of the year, but it also marks the point when the days begin (very slowly) to get longer and lighter. It's a time of year to that invites us to hibernate in a cozy room with a good book, and also to gather and reconnect with friends and family. This is one of our favorite times of year in Boston, it is also one of the most difficult. 70% La Plata, Colombia; 30% Worka Chelbesa Natural, Ethiopia
